Museums for Kids

The Palazzina delle Arti "L. R. Rosaia" every year at the beggining of May, offers educational workshops-play for children aged from 5 to 11 years. The proposed activities aim to ensure that the participants, through training and game experiences focused on objects and museum themes, perceive the Museum as a living and moving reality, a place of aggregation, exchange and dialogue, a generator of culture. The workshops usually end with a creative phase in which children create their own product to take home.

Matrix, ink, press: discovering the engraving

The first phase of the workshop will be devoted to a theoretical explanation of the many engraving techniques used from the Middle Ages to the present day. The participants will approach in a more stimulating way the materials, tools and techniques that are at the origin of the prints and the engraved matrices. In the second phase they will directly experiment the preparation and realization of a wooden matrix and the subsequent inking and printing stages of the press.
